Ms. Kobayashi is a Partner at Nishimura & Asahi.  She is also an Outside Director of Scala, Inc. (listed on TSE Prime Market).
She supports companies in various sectors, in their M&A, business alliance, and launch of new business, from legal strategic viewpoints, including negotiation, deal execution, as well as representing companies in defending against hostile takeovers.  She also worked as a secondee to KDDI CORPORATION (Corporate Strategy Planning Division, 2012-2013) where she was put in charge of M&A which involved many domestic and cross-border transactions from business and legal standpoints.
Ms. Kobayashi received an LL.B. and a J.D. from The University of Tokyo and an LL.M. from University of California, Berkeley.
She is a registered attorney in Japan (2009), New York (2017) and Texas (2017).
